Inspired by world famous paintings by Dutch Masters of the Golden Age like Rembrandt's 'Nightwatch', Pieter Brueghel's 'Children's Games', Frans Hals' 'Crazy Babbe', Johannes Vermeer's 'Street in Delft', Paulus Potter's 'The Bull' and many others.

These masterpieces formed the inspiration for pianist Raymond Langewen to create the beautiful compositions on this disc. With the "Dutch Master Class' Digidance also wishes to pay a just tribute to another well-known Dutch master, who painted his pictures with movement, that is choreographer Hans van Manen.

Besides regular ballet classes, this 'Dutch Master Class' compact disc is also ideal for your presentations and 'classy' performances on stage! All exercises have been recorded separately, but it is possible to link 'Barre' and 'Centre' compositions together like a sort of continuing exercise, because the key of one exercise is smoothly modulated into the key of the following exercise. This offers you an ideal possibility to create one continuous ballet class.
