Dutch pianist Dirk Vanderstoep has many years
of experience as accompanist at the 'Academy of Dance' in Arnhem, The
Netherlands. Through the years he frequently toured and played at several
locations in Europe where ballet courses were given. He composed the
music for several choreographies, e.g.: 'Pinoccio' by Mario van Drunick
and 'Floatings' by Christopher Beck, and also accompanied live at ballet
performances like 'Pictures at an Exhibition' by Modest Moussorgski
and 'Scenes from Childhood' by Robert Schumann.
After many requests Dirk Vanderstoep has now finally recorded his accompaning
music.
Beside
all these activities Dirk Vanderstoep still finds the time to give concerts;
very often in chambermusic-atmosphere, (e.g.: song accompaning and piano
quartet), but also as a soloist. He co-operated in various musicals,
radio and television recordings and is a well appreciated pianist in
both the world of ballet and theatre.
